8YO Josh bravely battles Cystic Fibrosis

Posted on: Mon 22 May 2017

One in 25 Australians are carriers of cystic fibrosis (CF)!

Nothing quite prepared us for this interview with Josh and his parents, Greg and Mandy Weller. At age eight, Josh has already undergone eight operations and has lived roughly a quarter of his life expectancy!

A simple game of footy on a muddy field could hold dire consequences for him. Yet this wonderful little chap has a positive and cheerful outlook. He’s supported by a loving family who chat openly with us about the impact of cystic fibrosis on their family life.

Greg Weller (GPCAPT, RAAF) recently resigned full-time service in order to ensure access to the best possible medical and other facilities for Josh.

Every Australian should listen to this interview. We could all be adversely affected by CF.
