Guarding the Geneva Convention

Posted on: Mon 15 May 2017

What weapons are used in war? What weapons are allowed? What difference does it make when a weapon is banned under international treaties?

This interview is recorded in May 2017, at a time of UN negotiations towards a treaty banning all nuclear weapons. Petra Ball is an advisor within the International Humanitarian Law department of Australian Red Cross and she shares the perspective of an organisation known as the Guardians of the Geneva Convention.
