From the dawning realisation that Fracking was coming, to when the drills retreated and the government quietly bought back the mining rights, The Bentley Effect traces the struggles and eventual triumph of the Northern Rivers’ communities. Barometer’s Sue Reece spoke with Annie Kia, resident, protagonist and activist about The Bentley Effect,  a film for all Australian communities whose lands have been earmarked for gas extraction.
