Euthanasia the ‘humane thing to do’

Posted on: Wed 12 Apr 2017

Does voluntary euthanasia permit killing or does it just give doctors and families power to respect the wishes of those who are suffering?

Best-selling author Nikki Gemmell has taken an active role in the euthanasia debate, supporting voluntary euthanasia.

She says, “When you look at statistics in Australia, up to 70% of Catholics and Anglicans support voluntary euthanasia. Australia, we are ready to have these laws introduced. It feels like a humane and compassionate thing to do.”

Jennie Lenman spoke to Nikki Gemmell about her story.
