Study finds poor mental health in students

Posted on: Fri 7 Apr 2017

Results of study conducted by Headspace and the National Union of Students were released on Thursday 6 March 2017 showing that more than 70% of university students rated their mental health as poor or fair.

The study has been released to coincide with National Youth Week to raise awareness about mental health issues in young people and to offer solutions to young people who are feeling the effects of poor mental health and high stress.

Breakfast presenters Jennie Lenman and Ian Newton spoke to Headspace CEO Jason Trethowan about the results of the survey and what they mean for Australian youth and Australian society at large.
